At The Beryl Institute, we believe a key factor in improving the Patient Experience is the culture of an institution. We see culture as the specific collection of norms, beliefs and values that are shared by people and groups in an organization and that control the way these individuals interact with each other and with external stakeholders,

It is important to note that culture is not just simply held within the walls of an organization; it is both supported and sustained in how it is experienced by others. While we recognize that proven expertise, effective processes and clear structures are keys to providing good patient care, we believe that culture plays an equally influential role on the patient experience.
